WEST (Geraldine Hooley) Young Couple Honored at Reception Following Marriage on August 13 Among an id-summer's popular and charming brides was Geraldine (Gerry) Hooley who exchanged marriage promises with Stanley V. West, Wednesday, August 13, at the Lindon LDS Ward Chapel. The petite and beautiful bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne E. Hooley of Orom. Her bridegroom bride-groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. D. Ford West of Pleasant Grove. The double ring rites were per-fonned per-fonned by Bishop Alva Durfey of the Orem Sixth Ward in the presence pres-ence of parents of the couple and close relatives and friends of the family. Soft strains of the Mendelssohn's Wedding March were played on the organ by Dale Bales as the enchanting bride ent.ei ed on the arm of her father. For her marriage mar-riage vows and for thr reception which followed, given by the brides parents, the charming brunette appeared ap-peared in an exquisite gown detailed de-tailed in yards of delicately-wrought delicately-wrought old-i'ose patterned imported impor-ted chantilly lace and nylon tulle, underscored with candlelight bridal bri-dal satin. Tiny-waisted and huge-skirted, a wide hoop assured elegance equal to its special role of bridal flattery. Her figure-tracing bodice was of lace with a tulle yoke outlined with seed pearls and topped demurely de-murely with a lace petor-pan collar, col-lar, also pearl trimmed. A dainty lace overskirt was seal loped and '. dropped to an apron effrot in back. Heart applique added m interesting interest-ing note to the front of the tulle skirt. Lily pontice sleeves dipped over her wrists. Her crowning glory was a matching lace bridal chapeau, scalloped scal-loped and pearl .trimmed which held an elbow-length double sheer tulle veil. She carried a delicate white orchid nested in pink rosebuds rose-buds and with stephanotis, in a cascade. Attendants to the bride were kowned in sleeveless sister-styled sheaths of carnation pink cerano linen, complemented with white accessories. They carried nosegays fashioned of white carnations in pink net and ribbon. They were Mrs. Bruce (Karen) Rogers, matron ma-tron of honor; Linda Richardson, maid of honor; Judy Jolley, Linda Kay Walker and Diane Warnick, bridesmaids. Assuming best man duties for his brother was David West. The bride's mother appeared in a white lace chemise while Mrs. West appeared in a gray lace sheath. They complemented their costumes with pink rose corsages. Assisting at the guest book was Norene Bylund and June Colledge. Aunts and uncles of the couple, Mr. and . Mrs. Milton C. Smith and Mr. and Mrs. J. Le-Roy Thorne welcomed guests at the door. The wedding party stood before a lovely love-ly floral background, forming an arch. Hostess of the serving section was Joy Nelson assisted toy Gerci Stewart, Jean Linebaugh, Brenda Blackhurst, Carol Harper, LeAnne Smith and Judy Wells. Gifts were arranged by close relatives of the couple. Gift bearers -were Mikel Hooley, Lane West, Scott Smith and Rusty Smith. |
