Sheriff's Office Ralph "Dick" Chappie, recently chosen as Utah County's outstanding outstand-ing peace officer in 1957 has served serv-ed 21 years as a police officer in Payson, 12 years of which he has served with distinction as chief of police of that community. As a civic leader in Payson he has served as a member of the District Committee of the Boy Scouts of America. He is past president pres-ident of the Payson Lions Club, a member of the Payson Chamber of Commerce, past member of the Junior Chamber of Commerce, past president of the Cocklebur Riding Club. Mr. Chappie is a member of the Payson Fire Department, having hav-ing also served as chief of the Department, De-partment, as well as past president of the Utah-Juab Fireman's Association. Assoc-iation. With Palph "Dick" Chajpple as Utah County Sheriff you can depend de-pend on the much needed cooperation cooper-ation between the Utah County Sheriff's office and the local city police departments and the Utah Highway patrol which has not been evident in the past. Chappie also pledges greater service ser-vice to the unincoi'porated areas of the county, pledging regular patrol pa-trol and protection service to jrop-erty jrop-erty owners. As your County Sheriff you r m be sure Ralph Chappie will a close check on the juvenile situation situa-tion and pledges greater support for worthy youth projects in Utah County.
