Show P. G. Vikings Lose To B.Y. High 28-6 Pleasant Grove High School fottball team, playing against B. Y. U. High School without some players that were reportedly ineligible, in-eligible, was swamped Wednesday on the Cougar field 28-6. A week ago the Vikings looked like a football team in holding the Lehi Pioneers to the low score of 12-0. Lehi has a good club, and the fact that the Grovers gave them a good game, then turned around and were mopped by the Kittens shows that Coach Shif-rer's Shif-rer's boys either are in-and-outers, or just plain "unpredictables ' However, what ever the matter it, things aresureot look up next: year. Max will have some boys' back in fact, the best potential in several years. What appears to be needed is more interest among the players themselvs, a will to win at all times, and a group who are willing to pay the price for a top club. The Vikings only won one game this season, that against the North Sanpete Rams by a score of 8-0. Lincoln and Springville, the two clubs hailed as the league giants, came through with a tie for first place. Lincoln dumped Spanish Fork, and Springville clumped Lehi. The two leaders will play on the BYU stadium turf this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. |
