Show Lindon Ward Chapel To Be Dedicated On Sunday, Mar. 23 By Pres. Joseph Fielding Smith Elder Joseph Fielding Smith, president of the Council of the Twelve, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will offer the dedicatory prayer for the Lindon Ward Chapel Sunday night at the dedicatory services which begins at 7 p.m. The new chapel was recently completed at a cost of $100,000, and is considered one of the finest buildings of its kind and size in church. Bishop LeGrand Ercanbrack Ercan-brack stated of that amount the Church paid approximately one half. Until the new edifice was completed com-pleted church servoces were held in Lindon School. "We are grateful for the efforts and support of the membership of the ward, and to all those who have been members and moved or supported this program in any way. We give thanks to the business busi-ness firms here and in neighboring communities who have contributed to this cause so freely," Bishop Ercanrack stated. ! In the fall of 1941 the church at Lindon was condemned and was torn down. Plans were made to j build a new one. As a temporary meeting place was needed the school board granted the ward the privilege of meeting in the school house. A building lot was purchased purch-ased west of the school house May 31, 1947. The groundbreaking groundbreak-ing ceremony was held, with Ezra Walker an George Shoell, the I ward's two oldest persons, taking the first shovels of dirt. Bishops of the ward who are still living include Bishop Ercanbrack, Ercan-brack, Bishops A. L. Cullimore, D. B. Thorne, Charles J. Cobbley, Leonard S. Walker, Jesse K.
