Show Local News The regular monthly meeting of Tost No. 70, The American Legion will be held on Thursday, August 17th at 8 p. m. at the Fireman's room in the city hall. Little Chris Huish of Provo is spending this week with his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Glade Hilton, Hilt-on, while his parents Mr. and Mrs. Robert Huish are vacationing in Yellowstone Park. Lewis Morgan, Fern and Faye Wilson of Independence, Mo., spent Wednesday with Mr. and Mrs. Barney Hilton and family. The Hiltons and their guests visited vis-ited Timpanogos Cave and later enjoyed dinner at the Hilton home. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Nelson had as their dinner guests Tuesday Tues-day Mrs. Nelson's nephew Stanley Peterson of Hollywood, California, and his mother Mrs. A. J. Peterson Peter-son and Mrs. Nevin Crabb of Lehi. Others for whom covers were laid were Mr. and Mrs. Keith Nelson Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Bradley and the host and hostess. Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Thorne and daughters Gayle and Sharalyn left Tuesday morning for New York and other points of interest. A-mong A-mong the places they plan to attend at-tend are the LDS church pageant, "America's Witness for Christ" at Palmyra N. Y. this weekend. Miss Geraldine Thorne, who has been spending the summer in New York with her brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Margaret Thorne, will return re-turn to Utah with her parents. |
