Show Newlyweds Are Honored At Reception Entranced by baskets of roses and asters, the First ward recreation recre-ation hall formed a lovely setting for the wedding reception given by Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Adamson Thursday evening, honoring their daughter Geraldine and Wayne G. Peay, who were married earlier in the day in the Salt Lake L. D. S. Temple. In the lineup receiving relatives and friends, were the bride and groom, the bride's parents, the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Golden Peay, the bride's attendants, attend-ants, Miss Rosalyn Stark, maid of honor; and bride's-maids Misses Beverly Wright, Joan Hardman, and Dorace Peay. Darrell Beveridge performed the duties of best man. Lovely in a gown of traditional white satin with filmy fingertip veil, the youthful bride carried a bouquet of red roses in which nestled nest-led a white orchid. Her attendants wore lovely pastel formals and carried roses and carnations. Meeting the guests at the door were Mr. and Mrs. Newell Adam-son Adam-son and Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Johnson. John-son. L A. Clark, as master of ceremonies cere-monies conducted the program. Mrs. J. LeRoy Thorne gave the toast to the newly-weds; Miss Lynnel Johnson sang a vocal solo; Mary Ann Moyle gave a humorous humor-ous reading- Miss Nadine and Miss Wilma Hales sang a duet. Dancing completed the evening's festivities. Gifs were cared for and arranged ar-ranged by Mrs. Lynne Adamson and Mrs. Maxene Sadlier. Mrs. Lyean Johnson presided in the refreshment room. Refreshments were served in the Relief Society hall, where the table was covered by a beautiful lace cloth and centered with a gorgeous wedding cake. Young ladies who served were Virginia Adamson, Ranae Johnson and Louise Sutton. Accompanying the young couple to the temple and witnessing the ceremony were: Mr. and Mrs. Newell Adamson, Mr. and Mrs. Golden Peay, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Johnson, and Dr. and Mrs. Homer Royle. President Robert D. Young officated. v The newly weds made a short honeymoon to the Southern Utah canyons and are now at home in the Gordon Walker apartments on Center street. |
