Show Noted Doctor To Speak At Polio Meeting LeRoy Johnson, Utah County chairman for Infantile Paralysis, and Mrs. Lucile Ahlander, director of women's activities, have arranged arran-ged a most informative and important im-portant meeting o be held August 7, at 8 p. m. in the Little Theatre, Provo high school, 50 South, 3rd West, Provo. Information in research treatment, treat-ment, and where and how to secure se-cure help for polio will be given. Dr. L. P. Gebhardt, Nationally famous scien ist and Director of Polio at the University of Utah will tell the story of great strides in research through the use of monkeys in isolating virus. The University of Utah is one of four universities in the United Sta es that has given grant by the National Nat-ional Foundation for Infantile Par- alysis to carry on research. Dr. N. K. Kezerian, who has represented re-presented the World Health Organization, Or-ganization, a division of the United Unit-ed Nations in India, is an authority author-ity on the treatment of polio and will talk on ths subject. S. Bruce Hanks, State Representative Repre-sentative for Polio Foundation in Utah and Nevada will tell how and where to obtain help for polio nnd what has been done to prepare our state in case of an epidemic. LeRoy Le-Roy Johnson will discuss cases as they effect Utah County. All women may register at the close of the meeting for classes in hot packing polio patients. This is a rare privilege, and an invitation is extended to all men and women interested. |
