Show Greater Utah Valley Committee On Agriculture Urges Greater Consumption Of Milk In Utah At a meeting of the Board of Diertocrs of Greater Utah Valley Inc., Tuesday evening, plans were laid to develop a program designed to increase the consumption of milk and other dairy products both within the valley and outside the area. It was brought out at the meeting that the economic welfare wel-fare of the entire county would be enchanced by the processing and selling of dairy products to outside areas. LeGrand Jarman. chairman of the Agricultural Committee Com-mittee of Greater Utah Valley, Inc. reported that plans were perfected to improve the marketing of fruit as all together too much inferior fruit was being shipped to outside areas giving the local fruit products pro-ducts a bad reputation. . Mark Anderson, a member of the Central Utah Project Committee, Commit-tee, reported that a number of national publications, such as the Saturday Evening Post, Readers Dip-ent. and others, were makinc derogatory and erroneous statements state-ments about the proposed development develop-ment of the Colorado River Basin. He made further comment that the future development of this state was being jeopardized by such mis-leading articles and urged that an all out campaign be a-dopted a-dopted by the people of the State of Utah to acquaint the nation with the true facts. It was decided by the Board of Directors that every effort should be made to counteract the mis-leading and adverse ad-verse publicity, and directed Mr. Anderson to furnish editors of various var-ious publications with correct information. in-formation.
