Show Programs In S Churches On Sunday THIRD WARD Miss Lyle Atwood, recently returned re-turned from the New England States Mission field, will be the speaker in the Third ward next Sunday evening. Special musical numbers are being arranged. LINDON WARD Dillon Frazier of Springville, w"ill direct the program in Lindon ward next Sunday evening. A talented tal-ented group of musicians will be present to furnish themusical numbers. GROVE WARD The Grove ward will hold their "Welcome Home" for Miss Louise Armitstead Sunday evening at 5:30 p.m. A good program is arranged, and everybody invited. Miss Armitstead recently returned return-ed from almost two years service in the Texas-Louisiana Mission field. FIRST WARD. John Fugal, Timpanogos Stake Seminary teacher will be the speaker spea-ker at the First ward Sacrament services Sunday evening, according to Bishop Ertman Christensen. The musical program will be furnished fur-nished by Jean Fugal and Mrs. Anna Fugal Bailey. A good attendance attend-ance is desired. SECOND WARD The Sunday evening Sacrament meeting program in the Second ward will be given by two young couples who were converts to the Church in Norway and who have just arrived in America during the past two months, Olaf Vogeler and Rolf Johansen and their wives. Brother Vogeler is a very gifted speaker who has served for several sev-eral years as translator for the Norwegian Mission and Editor of the Mission "Light of Norway". In addition, he has composed several hymns and translated many of our Mormon hymns into the Norwegian language. Brother Johansen gained much renown in Norway as one of the outstanding young pianists. His wife is also very talented, and will join her husband in furnishing the I music for the evening. These young people have brought honor to the church in their native land and will present an outstanding inspirational program pro-gram to us. Edward Hoopes. Jr.. who has spent the past fifteen months in the U. S. Navy, is in Pleasant Grove this week visiting with friends. Edward has been assigned to the U. S. S. Destroyer Ingraham for the past several months, and will report back to c uty on October 22ivl. He reports enjoying his work in the Navy. |
