Morrison and daughter Julie, Salt Lake City, came to visit with her mother, Mrs. Booth, and the group went to Springville to the Art exhibit. Delegates from American Fork PTA to the state congress of Parent-Teachers held. last week at the University of Utah were Mrs. Clyde Birk, Mrs. J. Ralph Seibel and Mrs. Milo Bean. They attended both Friday and Saturday Satur-day sessions. Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Moss and children spent Sunday in Bingham Bing-ham visiting with Wayne Parker Park-er and family. Mrs. Amanda Nicholes returned return-ed home Monday after spending a week in Salt Lake City with her daughter, Mrs. Harry Ostler. Miss Bertha Clark has written home that she is stationed with the American Red Cross in Brem- ershaven, North Germany, where she will be assigned to hospital work. She reported a most interesting in-teresting visit to the city and castle of Heidelburg, which she said was like something out of a movie. ,Mrs. Fred Preston and Miss Zina Baker spent Saturday in Salt Lake City. They visited with Mrs. J6hnstone Lind and family. Mr. and Mrs. Earl G. Smith and baby Diana left Friday to return to their home in San Diego, Calif.,-after spending two weeks with Mr. Smith's parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Smith, and other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Lassen were in Provo Sunday to attend the golden wedding anniversary of Mr. Lassen's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Lassen. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Davis (Dorothy Peck) and son Harry Charles, Salt Lake City, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Earl Ferguson. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Hansen left Monday for a vacation of two weeks in the Grand Canyon and southern Utah parks. Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Carlisle, Salt Lake City, were Sunday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Carlisle. Miss Irene. Devitt, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, spent the past two weeks visiting with her brother Ernest C. Devitt and wife, and her two nephews, Russell Rus-sell and Willard Devitt and families. fam-ilies. She left Saturday for Los Angedes where she intends to make her home. Sanford Walker Jr., Denver, Colo., was a guest of Mrs. S. T. Shelley during the past week. Mr. Walker, a former resident of American Fork and a nephew of Mrs. Shelley, is in the mission home in Salt Lake City prior to leaving for a mission to Brazil for the LDS church. Fifth ward Gleaner Girls enjoyed en-joyed a trip to the Springville Art exhibit Saturday, April 26. The girls were accompanied by Mrs. Richard Miller, class leader, and Mrs. Wilson Cunningham, a special guest. |
