Show Jaycees Install New Officers On Wednesday The Pleasant Grove Jaycees installed in-stalled Fred Sumsion, local insurance insur-ance agent, as president of their organization for the coming year. Hughes Brockbank, state Jaycee president, made the installation, and stressed the fact that leadership leader-ship is essential, in a short talk given at the inaugural banquet at the Alpine Grill on Wednesday ev- ening. Mr. Sumsion is replacing Wayne Holman as president. Other directors who were installed install-ed were vice presidents, Dean Atwood, At-wood, and Ray Fenton, and board members, Ralph Jensen, Harvey Smitih and Rollo Blackhurst. Holdover directors are Lawrence Farr and Merlyn Wadley and Past president Wayne Holman. Secretary-treasurer selected by the board of directors is Jack Pace, who replaces Dean Atwood. Mr. Sumsion in his speech outlined out-lined some of the policies he expects ex-pects to carry forth in the coming year and listed the advantages to the community and the individual of Jaycee work. During the evening Kay Man Keys were presented to outgoing officers, Wayne Holman. Lawrence Farr, Harvey Smith, Dean Atwood Gerald Eclliston, Ray Fenton, H. Cobbley. Music was furnished during the evening by Miss Ruth Beck, and a novelty number was given by Dr. C. A. King of Springville. |
