Show Brain Fever In Horses Reported Word has come that brain fever of horses has broken out in the horses in southern Idaho and a few cases in Utah, according to word received by County Agent S. R. Boswell, from William Peterson, director di-rector of extension service at Logan, Lo-gan, Utah. This seems that there is a pos- ' sibility of an outbreak in the state of Utah this year. Mr. Don E. Kenney, commissioner of livestock for the state department depart-ment of agriculture, says that vaccination vac-cination is the only way of attacking at-tacking the disease. This disease is called encephalomyelitis and seems to be transmitted from horse to horse by flies and other insects. The insect season is now beginning be-ginning and owners of horses are advised to give attention to the vaccination program. The different distributors of vaccine vac-cine in Utah report that they have a good store of vaccine on hand which can be made available on short notice and local veterinarians are prepared to administer it.
