Show Jaycee Gems Hostesses at Inter-Club Meet The Jaycee Gems scored a real success at their inter-club meeting meet-ing on Thursday evening, Oct-, Oct-, ober 3 at the First Ward Chapel, where the following fine musical program was presented. Vocal solos, Until by Sanderson, Sander-son, Londonderry Air, arranged by Wilson and Rose Marie by Fremls were sung by Warren Kirk, accompanied by Mrs. Kirk. A 1 act play was read by Nancy Armstrong. March from Occasional Occas-ional Oratorio, by Handel and Ave Marie by Schubert were played by J. J. Keeler, organist at the BYTJ. If with all your Hearts, by Mendelssohn and King Ever Glorious by Staina, were sung by Mr. Kirk, accompanied by Mr. Keeler. Organ solos, past-orala past-orala 'by Palchebel, Toccata, by Boellman, were given by Mr. Keeler. A request number, Re- member My Soul by R. Franz was the final number by Mr. Kirk and Mr. Keeler. Luncheon was served in the recreation hall, which was gayly decorated with fall flowers and autumn leaves, and where a string trio, Winona Kirk, Marilyn Mar-ilyn Wright and Jennie Gleason furnished dinner music. Seven pairs of Nylons were raffled off. During dinner Mrs. Ruth Cobbley introduced visiting ladies. Out of town clubs represented were Salt Lake City, Lehi, American Am-erican Fork, Provo, Orem and Springville. Committees in charge of the very cultured affair were Program, Pro-gram, Leah Holman, chairman, .Margaret Sumsion., and Verda Fenton; Decorations, Afton Pace, chairman, Letha Ash, Lucile Harmer, Violet Beers, Naomi Walker; Hattie Slaton was chairman chair-man of the lunchoen committee and she was assisted 'by a large group of Gems. i |
