Show Lions Club Entertain Service Men The Lions Club entertained the returned servicemen and those home on furlough at a banquet in the Manila Ward Chapel 'Wednesday 'Wednes-day evening. Invitations were sent to 110 honored guests. In a short introduction speech by each man it was learned that Pleasant Grove has been represented in every theatre of war thorughout the world, and that many of the boys have been able to render their service without having to, leave the borders of the United States. The dinner was prepared and served by the Elders and their wives of the Manila ward. The program prepared by the military affairs committee, H. C. Robertson chairman and Don Mack Dalton, and Arthur Meredith, members consisted of Accordian music by Ruth Beck, vocal solos by Art Meredith, vocal solos and duets by James Richardson and wife, with Rulon Brimhall as accompanist & readings by Carol Christiansen and Neils Fugal. |
