Show FUNERAL SERVICES HELD SUNDAY IN PROVO FOR MERCHANT MARINE Provo Funeral services for John R. Petersen, merchant marine, son of Mrs. Nancy Petersen, who died at Santa Catalina Island, California, Califor-nia, afte.4 short illness, were held in the Fifth ward-chapel, Sunday Sun-day afternoon, with Bishop Frank T. Bennett in charge. Mrs. Lewis Allen was at the organ to play the processional and recesional. The choir sang the opening number, with Ralph Brit-scar Brit-scar conducting. Mrs. Mary R. Day sang the solo part. Prayer was offered by Bishop P. C. Peterson. Lee Valentine sang in Spanish; a triubte from the Boy Scouts was paid by Kay Brimhall; remarks were made by LeRoy Condie, and a violin solo was played by Dawn Marie' Adams, accompanied by Zoe Adams. S. R. Boswell and Bishop Bennett Benn-ett spoke, the choir sang, and Terry Fox closed with prayer. The grave at the Provo City Burial Bur-ial Park was dedicated by Orrin H. Jackson. |
