Show Funeral is Held Friday for Mrs. Lydia Allen Impressive funeral rites were conducted Friday in the Vineyard ward chapel for Mrs. Lydia T. Allen, resident of Pleasant Grove. The services directed by Bishop Walter Holdaway opened with a male quartette including Roland Harding, Elroy Murdock, Ellis Holdaway and Howard Anderson. They were accompanied by Mrs. Elroy Murdock. Prayer was offered by Carlyle Bunker. Sketch of the life of Mrs. Allen was ggiven by a granddaughter, Mrs. Elaine J. Liddiard. Speakers were T. N. Taylor, life long friend of the family; John McAdam, also a close friend, R. D. Wadley of Manila ward and S. H Blake of the Sharon stake presidency, pres-idency, and former bishop of the Vineward ward. All paid high tribute to Mrs. Allen, who was the mother of twele children, ten of whom survive. ' Musical numbers interspersing the speakers were a vocal solo O Dry Those Tears by Mrs. Berniece Dr.strup; Home sung by a male quaratette including Joseph Taylor, Tay-lor, Golden Taylor, Joe Ahlander and August Johnson all nephews of the departed. After closing remarks by Bishop Bish-op Holdaway, August Johnson sang the closing number, Absent, and Ray Gamon of the bishopric pronounced the benediction.
