Show CLOTHING DRIVE WAS A VERY SUCCESSFUL AFFAIR The United National Clothing collection for war relief was very successful in Pleasant Grove. Ninety Nine-ty five large boxes uacked full of clothing and thirteen burlap bags full of shoes were shipped district collection depot in Salt Lake City. Thirty three hundred and fifty-wo fifty-wo pounds were received, sorted and delivered to local railroad station. stat-ion. Also some unusable clothingg was sorted out and put into the local rag salvage.. Chairman H- W. Clark wishes to express his appreciation and thanks to he committee members, he civic and church organizations, the school and citizens who helped in advertising the drive, and in collecting, collec-ting, sorting and packing. To the local salvage chairman J. Kemp is due a lot of credit 'for his interest and effort. Such a project as this clothing colection for war relief is a contribution contri-bution to our Nations war effort and is a groat humanitarian work. The deitute people who are to receive re-ceive these clothes will be blessed and al-o those who have shared with them. |
