Show Harrington School News Notes SPRING! With the arrival of this delightful season, the blossoming of trees, and the gentle swaying of the branches in the soft breeze, comes also a perfect per-fect setting for the Fifth and Sixth Grade Operetta, "POLLY MAKE-BELIEVE" The Fifth and Sixth grades of the Harrington School have been working work-ing on this operetta for several weeks now and wish to announce that they will soon have it ready for production. The cast for the operetta was chosen by the children on a competitive compet-itive basis, but every child in the two grades will participate in the performance. CHARACTERS: (as we meet them) Polly Make-Believe Rae Marie Jerling Lassie Janice Madsen Mack (her brother) Calvin Maxfield Jimmy Don Steele Ebenezer (a cook) Floyd Jeffs Mrs. 0'Toole....Karma Van Wagoner Boy Scout Glade Roberts Bud Warren Monson Dot Carol Boley Becky Rolene Chilton Lil Charlotte Beck Buttons Dean Lewis The Primary Grades of the Harrington Har-rington School are also planning a spring entertainment for the near future, lae First and Second grades have selected a colorful play entitled "New Adventures In Flowerland." The Third and Fourth grades are working on an operetta entitled, "Kay and Gerda." Every child will have the opportunity oppor-tunity of taking part. Watch this column of your paper for further detail concerning these entertainments. Last week the Harrington School purchased an R. C. A. radio-phonograph combined. Each room will select records suitable for their dancing, gymnastics, music appreciation, apprecia-tion, and rhythm work. We feel that the boys and girls will enjoy this innovation. o |
