Show . I Dr. Dean A. Anderson, native of Pleasant Grove will at the beginning be-ginning o'f the winter quarter assume as-sume his duties at the B. Y. U. as Associate Professor of Agronomy anrl Bacteriology, after a three year leave of absence, duifing which lime he served in the Sanitary Corps o'f the U S. Army, where he attained the rank o'f Major. Dr. Anderson is a son o'f Mr. and Mrs. Albert Anderson o'f this city, where he graduated 'from the Pleasant Grove High School. Later he graduated 'from the B. Y. U. and and the Iowa State College at Ames, Iowa. He entered the U. S. army in January, 1913. .and trained first at Camp White, Oregon, and later became a member of the 70th hospilal staff which was transferred to Northern Ireland. ATter a year in Ireland, he served in an evacuation hospital in South Hampton, England, which received (lie wounded men from the fighting fight-ing 'front in Europe. . He later served as an instructor instru-ctor on the staff at Shrivenham American University at Shrivenham, Shriven-ham, England, where he taught Bacteriology to service men. His wife the former Elva Brown of Pleasant Grove and two children live in Provo. |
