BoJ:h teams had a little trouble finding the basket, but from the first quarter on there was little doubt as to the outcome. Lehi missed consistently and des-pitef des-pitef their superior height never succeeded in controlling the backboard. back-board. Royce Matthews played a bang up game on the defensive, while Bob Hilton garnered 11 points from his center position in addition to playing a good floor game. Doyle Harris turned in a good performance at forward in the first quarter, but was benched and when he came in again later in the game, couldn't get going again. From all pre-season dope the four teams other than American Fork, in the league, were supposed to be about on even terms. If the game Friday was any indication, American Fork had better move over and get set for some competition. compet-ition. Tonight the P. G. boys play BY High at Provo, in what should prove to be an interesting tussle, and should give some further indication in-dication of the relative strength of the teams in the league. |
