Show t " " Course for Prospectors Pros-pectors Will be Given In A. F. American Fork is situated near the base of a great mineralized area. The extent of the undeveloped resources re-sources in this vicinity offers the industrious individual advantages rarely approachable in any community. Science is man's valuable aid in the utilization of natural resources. The acquisition of the science of natural resources in some measure has been made possible through the efforts of Dr. No-all of the State School Office, and the County Superintendent Sup-erintendent of Schools. On the evening of January the 20th there will begin a school in prospecting and mining. All individuals indi-viduals interested in the advancement advance-ment of the community and the increase in-crease of their own efficiency are invited in-vited to enroll in the school. Frank H. Gunnell, former instructor instruc-tor in geology at the University of Missouri has been engaged to lead the school. This school will be of special interest to prospectors, miners, min-ers, mine operators, and the investing invest-ing public, although any individual interested in earth science can magnify mag-nify his appreciation of nature. j Lectures will be given on such subjects as: Origin of the Earth. Development of a Prospect. Practical Prospecting. Primary Mineral Deposits. Finance of Mineral Industry. Prospecting for water. The school will provide each member mem-ber with a book entitled "Outline of Mining Geology." A Mining Society will be organized to promote the industry in the American Fork area. Names of those persons desiring to take the course can be left with Leo Hansen, Lehi, or at the Citizen 'office. o |
