Show City Passes Ordinance Providing Pro-viding for Primary Elections The American Fork City council passed a new ordinance Tuesday evening which makes the old laws governing the city election effective again. The state legislature recently repealed re-pealed the state law that gives to the cities of third class the right to hold primary elections to nominate candidates for public office. The repealing of this law made it necessary for cities of third clas to make provision for holding of primary pri-mary elections, which will precede the coming fall election when city officials will be selected for another two-year period. The ordinance in detail is printed in another place in this issue and citizens are urged to read it and become be-come acquainted with the various sections of it. . Citizens, it is time now to begin thinking of candidates for the various var-ious offices of our city government. The time is nearing when tickets will be drawn up and citizens will go to the polls and elect city officials to reign over our city.
