Show Stake Pageant Ready 7$ For Christmas Morning , t-i Si! 'u ' Everything is in readiness for "The Quest" the Alpine Stake M. I. A. 5th Annual Christmas pageant which will be presented December 25, at 6 o'clock a. m. in the Alpine Stake Tabernacle. The committee in charge of the affair and the cast have been working hard and they feel that they have a production that is well worth seeing. Mrs. Josephine Goff, author of the pageant, was in American Fork Sunday afternoon to direct the rehearsal. re-hearsal. Mrs. Goff was well pleased with both the cast and the staging and predicted that the production would be a splendid success. She felt that the cast has done so well that it would not be necessary for her to attend another rehearsal. The Alpine stake choir, consisting of about 70 members, under the direction di-rection of K. J. Bird, will be in attendance at-tendance and sing for the pageant. This is the first time that the choir as a whole has participated in the pageant. Other special musical numbers will be under the direction of Mrs. West Hammond. Special cycloramic scenery, as well as painted set pieces, have been procured pro-cured and special lighting effects have been arranged. The stage presents a very professional appearance appear-ance and has been so arranged that it is easily seen from all parts of the building. It has been constructed con-structed on two floors, one somewhat some-what higher than the other and the completed stage is indeed a credit to Mr. I. L. Pratt and the rest of the staging committee. Word has been received that many persons from the surrounding communities, com-munities, as well as from Provo and Salt Lake, will be in American Fork Christmas morning to see "The Quest." The citizens from Alpine and Highland are cordially invited , to attend. Where could be found a better place to meet all of one's friends and neighbors on Christmas day than at this pageant? Here is . the place to exchange greetings and to get the real meaning of Christmas. Christ-mas. The pageant will commence at 6 o'clock and takes about an hour to present. In the past the children 1 who have attended have caught the significance of the occasion and enjoyed en-joyed the pageant as well as the older people. Those in charge report re-port that this year is no exception and parents are urged to bring the i youngsters and enjoy these early I morning ceremonies with them. |
