Show o C. C. C. CAMP NEWS During the past week several more boys have returned to their homes. John Stahara returned to Youngs-town, Youngs-town, Ohio, and Lawrence Masuga, Homer McWilliams, and Harold Rice returned to Akron, Ohio. Gene Fryberger was hurt while clearing some heavy timber from one of the camping areas in American Fork canyon. Last Saturday, Gene was taken to the Station Hospital at Fort Douglas, Utah, where he will receive treatment. According to the report made last week, forty boys will leave at the end of this enrollment period, which ends September 30th. They will go to Fort Knox, Kentucky, on the troup train and receive their discharges dis-charges from there. The camp has undergone several changes during the past few weeks and the people of Pleasant Grove and surrounding towns are invited to call and see our camp and meet the officers, technical service, and the boys. The camp is a definite part of industrial, social, and civil life and we want a feeling of neigh-borliness neigh-borliness and understanding to exist ex-ist at all times. The Timpanogos Stake presidency will sponsor a short religious service serv-ice at the camp each Sunday morning morn-ing at eleven o'clock. These services serv-ices will be non-sectarian and it is hoped that all will take advantage of this religious offering. Each of the Bishops of the Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove wards have invited the boys of the camp to join the Mutual Improvement Association which will commence with a social on Tuesday, September 22, 1936. in each of the wards. A new work project was startrd last week, that of building a drift fence through Pine Hollow, and ten men are working on the project. |
