Show FRUIT CROP TO BE SHORT During the past week H. V. Swenson, Swen-son, county inspector, has been ex-I ex-I amining fruit orchards in the towns ' in the north end of Utah county. ! I He advises peach growers to leave I j the pruning of their peach trees un-! til a little later in the season. He I (states that there is probably only j 35 per cent of a crop, with most of i the fruit in the top of the tree. The trees could be pruned after the crop ' is harvested. The Cherry, apricot and pear trees will produce a 50 per cent crop. Mr. Swenson expresses his opinion that the long duration of the sub-zero weather is responsible for the short- j age in the above crops. The apple ' icrop is light due to the heavy crop last year as apples, as a rule, do not bear heavy crops on consecutive years. |
