The Alpine "M" Men basketball team took sixth place in the church finals at Ogden last week. The boys played some very good ball. Mr. Roy Bair, who is employed at the Yankee mine, spent the weekend week-end with his family. A special attraction at-traction was the 11 lb- baby boy which arrived at the Bair home Wednesday morning, March 8. Mrs. Bair and the new arrival are domg j nicely. Mrs. Joseph E. Bair and Mrs. Howard Bair and little daughter of Bountiful were Sunday guests of relatives in Alpine. Mrs. Melvin Devey entertained the Happy Dozen Wednesday afternoon after-noon of last week. The usual activities acti-vities were enjoyed after which a dainty lunch was served. The regular monthly meeting of the Daughters of the Pioneers was held at the home of Mrs. D. J. Strong, who was assisted in entertaining enter-taining by Mrs. Thomas McGregor. jMrs. Florence Thornton Strong read a history of the lives of her grandfather grand-father and grandmother Shelley.
