He was first thought to have been quite seriously injured and was rushed to the American Fork hospital hospi-tal by A. G. Nord, forest supervisor who was at the Timpanogos Cave camp when the call for assistance came in. Fellow C. C. C's also accompanied ac-companied their "buddy" to the hospital and rendered what assistance assist-ance they could, as did A. R. Croft of the U. S. Forest Service, at the Cave Camp. Examination revealed a broken right wrist, injury to the other wrist, head injury and scratches about the face. It is expected he 'will be able to go to his home to Salt Lake to recuperate in a few days. Hollis was on the edge of the ledge and a rock loosened under his feet, precipitating him backwards. He lit on his wrist which bore the brunt of the tali. The trail when complete will open up the Hansen cave wonders and by tunneling between the Hansen and Timpanogos Caves, these will be connected. About another month will be required to complete the job. |
