Show Former Resident j Buried Here Word came to relatives here Sunday Sun-day evening of the sudden death of Olive Ivsrson- Hokanson, daughter of Mr- and Airs. A- N. Iverson of this city. Mrs. Hokanson had gohej to Grangervilte, Idaho, where her husband was employed, to spend the 24th cf July with him, where she became ill and died there Sunday evening. I Olive Iverson Hokanson wras born in Pleasant Grove August 8, 1896,1 and spent ths early part of her life! here with her parents in the Manila Man-ila ward. She was married to George A-Hokanson A-Hokanson December 22, 1917, an? moved to Salt Lake City where she: has since resided. She is survived by her husband and three daughters, also her parents par-ents and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs- Thalia Gough, Murray; Mrs. Nellie Smith, Salt Lake City; j Mrs. Eda Hardman, Mrs- Areva Hahn, Jesse Floyd and John G. Iver- son, all of Pleasant Grove- Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 2 p. m. in the Manila ward L. D. S. chapel with Counselor Merrill Warnick presiding. Miss Lucy Wadley was organist and pray- j ers were offered by R. D. Wadley; and Fred Katter, of Salt Lake City. The opening and closing songs were given by the Burton Ward Relief Society chorus, "Some Time, Some Where" and "My Father Knows." A duet "Abide With Me" was sung by Mrs. Nettie Warnick and Mrs. Wilma Byork and a solo "What.God Made Mothers For", was sung by Master Carl Tuckett of Springville. The speakers were Bishop Alma Kastellan of the Burton ward, Miss Effie Warnick, President W. W. Warnick, and Merrill Warnick. All j paid high tribute to the life and! character of the deceased. She was a faithful worker in the Primary,; Relief Society and Genealogical so- ciety in the wards where she resided, j The grave was dedicated by Bishop L. M. Atwood in the Pleasant Grove , cemetery. j |
