Show Timpanogos Stake Flower Show Time Strawberry Day, 10:30 A. M. Doors open to public from 12 noon, until 9 p. m. PlaceNorth Entrance Hall of Junior High School building. It is imperative that every member mem-ber of the Stake having any flowers, flow-ers, show their loyalty and civic pride by adding their contributions of flowers to this show. The extreme ex-treme hot weather has rushed some of our flowers thru a short blooming period, leaving us short on a great abundance we had anticipated an-ticipated in on that day. There will yet be lovely roses, snap dragons, shasta, daises, -petunias, and house plants of various types to make our display a thing of beauty and a treat to our visitors. visi-tors. Our community has the flowers. flow-ers. Let us prove it by our whole hearted support on Strawberry Day. There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes given to tile people who make the best contributions to the Flower Show. First prize $5.00 collection of choice Dahlia bulbs; I Second and' Third prizes to be announced an-nounced later. When to cut your flowers If possible cut your roses on the early morning of the 20th, or at latest, in the evening of the 20th; never while the sun is shining. After Af-ter bringing to the house cut Vz to 1 inch of 'stems off under water. Place in refrigerator or cool basement base-ment with ice in container. Sprinkle petals to offset evaporation. evapor-ation. Wrap damp newspaper; about the roses and keep damp un-1 til time of display. All flowers are much better cut in early morning , or in coolness of evening. Cut long . stemmed flowers with long stems . and suit your container to your flowers.
