Show Four Injured In Car-Truck Crash At A. F. Sunday Pour persons were injured at the intersection of the old and new state highways west of American Pork Sunday night, when a truck and passenger car figured in a head-on head-on collision. The injured were C. O. Reed, 52, of 543 East Fourth South street, Provo, who suffered chest, back and leg injuries; Mrs. Lydia Otteson, 58, of Riverton, who suffered shock and head lacerations; M. K. Hurd of Auburn, Wyoming, who suffered a laceration over the right eye; and Mrs. Hurd, who suffered back injuries, in-juries, cuts and severe shock. Mr. Reed was ' driving a truck, traveling south, and Mr. Hurd, the northbound passenger car. Apparently Appar-ently the drivers became confused at the intersection and were unable to avert the collision. State Highway Patrolman Melvin W. Grant investigated investi-gated the accident. Occupants of the Hurd car, Mr. and Mrs. Hurd and Mrs. Otteson, were brought to the American Fork Community hospital for emergency treatment. Mrs. Otteson was still confined to, the hospital this week. |
