Show Mr. and Mrs. Tharin Francin returned re-turned home last week, after spending spend-ing several months in Southern Utah. The Home and Community department depart-ment of the Utah county farm bureau bu-reau met in convention last Monday, Mon-day, November 22 in Frovo. A group of women participated in the election elec-tion which resulted as follows: Mrs. Zetella Wardle, Lehi, county chairwoman; chair-woman; Mrs. Mnry Marcussen, Iceland, Ice-land, vice chairwoman; Mrs. Winona Wi-nona Thomas, Lcland, secretary and treasurer; Mrs. Grant Ivins, Pleasant Pleas-ant View, two year advisor; Mrs. J. P. Fugal, Pleasant Grove, one year advisor; Mrs. Mary K. Mo-wcr, American Fork, honorary advisor. Primary conference will be held in the First ward chapel Sunday evening at 7:30. A. entertained the First and Second Bee-hive classes Tuesday night after Mutual for reaching 100 per cent in the membership drive. A delicious lunch was served, after which games were enjoyed. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Taylor entertained enter-tained at a delicious Thanksgiving dinner for the members of their immediate family. Special guests were Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Reese, R. Reese, Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Reese and family, Mr. and Mrs. Karl R. Taylor and family and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Reese and family. Last Monday evening Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Devcy, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Jo-seph Marsh, Earl Groo, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Miller, Mrs. Blanch Bt-n-nett, Mrs. Golda Strong and Mis(; Fern Marsh, nil of Alpine, and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Pulley of this city attended the wedding reception at the Jensen home on Hyland Drive In Salt Lake City, honoring the marriage of Miss Lenora Groo and Mr. Arnold Chrl.'ll.cn.scn of ' Salt Lake City. Ml.ss Groo is the twin sister or Mrs. Allx'rt Pulley of American Fork. Mr. and Mrs. F. D. Strong and family and Mr. and Mrs. James A. Shelley enjoyed a family Thanksgiving Thanksgiv-ing dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leo T. Shelley. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ramsay and Mr. and Mrs. Benard Storrs returned from a short trip to California, Sunday. Sun-day. While -Ihere they were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Clarke, Mr. and Mrs. Willard Clarke, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Clarke and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Clarke, brothers of Mrs. Ramsay. Mrs. Earl 3. Greenwood, who has served as secretary for the Fourth Ward Relief Society for the past 13 years, was released Sunday evening eve-ning at the wards Relief Society conference and Mrs. William Roberts Rob-erts was sustained. The Variety club members and their husbands entertained last Friday Fri-day evening at the Bromley club rooms at a delicious Thanksgiving dinner. The entertaining rooms were decorated with pesters drawn by Mrs. David Cahn of Indian heads decorated with real feathers and a picture of John Arden and Priscilla. The curtains were draped with turkey tur-key feathers. The long table was centered with four miniature turkeys tur-keys between bowls of crysanthc-mums. crysanthc-mums. The tally cards were very novel. Those present were presented pre-sented with nn Indian head band , as a favor. Bridge was played following the dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Owen Humphries, Mrs. Mate Earl and Mrs. Pa.ul Adamson winning the high score award. Consolation awards were won by Adalro Bromley n.nd Mrs. Edith Brown. Local Items Mrs. Earl Roylance and two children chil-dren spent Sunday visiting at the home of her sister, Mrs. A. E. Tracy. Mrs. Hazel Householder and Mrs. May Bennett were special guests at a party given at the home of Mrs. Orval Morgan of Provo Saturday. Master Blaine Thornton, son of Mrs. Maude Thornton, underwent a major 0cration at the L. D. ' S. hospital in Salt Lake City Tuesday. His condition is reported as good. Mr. and Mrs. William Laursen have recently purchased and moved Into the home formerly owned by John H. Davis. Mrs. Mary K.
