Ten Years Ago How (Taken from files of Feb. 27, 1920) American Fork was one of the first cities of the state to rai.e money to aid the victims of the recent Bingham Bing-ham snowslide. Several residents and former residents of this city are now in Bingham and appreciate the aid being sent from this community. com-munity. Roy, the four year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Nielsen, was bitten bit-ten on the chin by a stray dog Monday Mon-day afternoon. The head of the dog was sent to Salt Lake for examination ex-amination which .showed no disease. The boy is improving from the injuries. in-juries. Ten Years Ago Now A merry round of entertainment is dated up for the people of American Ameri-can Fork witliin the coming week. "Looks Like Rain" will be presented tonight by the First ward. The Two Vagabonds," the hiiih school oera so long awaited, will make its appearance ap-pearance next week, also "Tho Fruit of His Folley" a comedy drama by the Fourth ward. Splendid casts have been selected for each of these events which will prove to be head-liners. head-liners. In order to provide more adequate street lighting, Alpine City has arranged ar-ranged with the Utah Power and Light Company to install a modern scries lighting system, operating on a du.sk to dawn schedule and located at street intersections and other points where street illumination is necessary. During the past two weeks extensive exten-sive painting and repair work has been done at the First ward chapel. The renovating of the building while not yet complete has progressed pro-gressed sufficiently to enable one to see what a decided improvement has already been made. |
