Show L t ij Ten Years Ago 'j Now (Taken from files of Feb. 27, 1926) The Sophomore basketball team played the American Fork Sophomore Sopho-more team Thursday. This was the last of a series of six games which have been played in Alpine district, all of which have been won by our boys by a generous margin. Ten Years Ago Now Thursday night the Cullimore Mercantile at Lindon was entered and robbed. The burglars entered through the front door and took coats, overcoats, ladies ready-to-wear and other stock. The cash register was completely destroyed. In addition to the merchandise taken considerable damage was done to the building itself. Ten Years Ago Now Funeral services for Ben Benson, a victim of the Bingham snowslide, were held in the Pleasant Grove tabernacle Sunday afternoon. Ten Years Ago Now An energetic committee has been selected from each-ward to collect funds for Bingham snowslide relief. Not a doubt is held but that Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove will reach its alloted quota at an early date. Ten Years Ago Now The choruses for the opera "Chimes of Normandy" are almost ready for presentation. Daily re-hersals re-hersals are being held on the dramatic dra-matic rendation. The date set for the opera is March 17, 18 and 19. Ten Years Ago Now The picture "On The Stroke of Three" presented at the high school Wednesday was well attended and greatly appreciated. |
