Show Will The City Park . Be Planted To Lawn Will the City Park be planted to lawn and flowers? Citizens are asking ask-ing each other this question and much' comment is being made. One Interested Inter-ested citizen suggests that the one and two inch pipes recently removed from the water works system in different dif-ferent parts of the city, be utilized to put in a sprinkling system for the park. It could be put in by sections, and a child could take care of the sprinkling. As soon as the proper landscape garden plans are ready and the lawn is planted, progressive citizens citi-zens would be glad to donate shrubs and flowers to beautify it and if citizens understood in time, reservations reserva-tions could be made for fall planting of bulbs, and other flowers that require re-quire fall planting. Pleasant Grove is noted for its hearty cooperation of it's citizens in community affairs and this project could be put over if the right kind of community leaders are placed at the head. There should be available funds on hand from dog taxes and delinquent de-linquent water users to put over this work as this money was not included in the city budget Most of the towns of the state have beautiful ' city parks and Pleasant Grove has the making of one of the finest in the state. All are watching the progress of the park beautiflcation. |
