Show j Ten Years Ago I 1 Now j (Taken from files of June 28, 1924) Ten Years Ago Now The Relief Society ladies of th Third ward entertained Tuesday afternoon in their hall for Misses Ellen Jacklin and Zina Clayson, who are leaving soon on missions. The party was in the nature of a handkerchief hand-kerchief shower and Mrs. Jesse M. Walker, president, was in charge. Ten Years Ago Now American Fork city has all plans worked out for the biggret two-day celebration of July 4th ever held here. On the afternoon of July 3rd there will be a ball game and in the evening a historic drama staged on the tabernacle steps. On July 4th a mammoth parade, band .serenade, program, children's races, ball game, aeroplane candy .shower, concert, fireworks and dance are scheduled. Ten Years Ago Now A distinct honor di-.sendcd upon the Silver Band of this city when an invitation came from Salt Lake City asking the band to jKirticipatc in the ibig parade staged at the c.-ipitol city Tuesday morning honoring the Disabled Dis-abled War Veterans. The invitation was gladly accepted. The American Fork Post of Black Hawk veterans iwas allotted a place in the parade. Ten Years Ao Now 1 Mi.ss Florence Priday left Salt Lake City Wednesday night for Brooklyn, N. Y. and the ea-stern states mission. Ten Years Ago Now Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Adams announce an-nounce the engagement of their daughter Lucy to Mr. Kenneth Phil-! Phil-! Hps of Provo the marriage to take place early in July.
