Show Arrest Follows Truck-Car Crash Here A Chevrolet truck, owned and driven by Earl Cloward of this city, crashed into a Dodge sedan ear Sunday night at 9:45 o'clock at the intersection of Center and Main streets here. Cloward was traveling south on Center street and L. D. Hamblin of Draper was traveling west on Main street. Cloward dis-' regarded the stop sign and drove onto Main directly into the sedan,1 pushing it a dist ance of thirty - six t feet. i With Mr. Cloward were his wife,1 and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Draper. In the sedan with Mr. Hamblin were W. I S. Larsen, Harold Howettj Parry i Fitzgerald and Wendell Day. They! had been fishing and were em-oute, home. The rear end of the Dodge was damaged considerably and the bum-1 per was torn from the truck. None; of the occupants of either car was1 injured. ' Cloward was arrested and a charge of intoxication placed against him. He appeared Monday morning before , City Justice Seastrand and was fined $50, half of which was suspended suspen-ded with the agreement that he pay the repair bill of the sedan which he agreed to do. n |
