The Sunshine committee of the First ward entertained Thursday afternoon' in honor of Mrs. Charlotte Greenwood, the occasion being her 79th birthday anniversary. Twenty guests were present and enjoyed games,, moslo and' luncheon. Mrs Greenwood was the recipient of many beautiful gifts, Mr. aad, Mrs. Joseph H. Adams, George . Adams, Miss- Evelyn Adami, MVs. . Hattfe- Richard of Pleasant Grove and" Miss Bully Carson of Lehl, were dinner guests at the home of Dr. and Mrs. G. S. Richards on Wednesday Wed-nesday evening. Miss Daisy Barnett of Montpeller, Idaho, was among- the out-of-town visitors who- attended the funeral services for Ruth Kelly here last Friday. Fri-day. Miss Barnett is a very close friend of the Kelly family, and was especially an admirer of the deceased. Miss Barnett remained over the week end visitln-g friends, and was a guest at the Joseph Nicholes home during ber stay. Berry and Mr. Neuber of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. S. F. Grant and Mrs. Rose Grant of this city in company with Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Grant of Pleasant Grove formed a theatre party Saturday evening and motored to Salt Lake City, where they attended' attend-ed' the Playhouse theare. They also remained' for the Midnight Frolic. Miss Loraine Boley, who is attending at-tending the U. A. C. at Logan, won second prize-in the apple contest held at the college last Friday. There were forty girls entered for this event,, which, was one of the activities activi-ties planned for Parents Visiting Day at that institution. Mrs- W. C. Boley and Mrs. Ivy Steele accompanied by Mrs. Thomas Kirkham! of Lehi, motored to Logan last Friday' where they visited the U. A. C, the ' occasion being Parents VlBlting Day. Miss Loraine Boley and Miss Phyllss Kirkham, Mrs. Boley's and Mrs. Kirkham's daughters daught-ers respectively, are attending that institution. The " visitors returned home late the following day. Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Tuttle returned return-ed Wednesday from Oakley, Idaho, where they visited home town friends' and -relatives arid attended the funeral: fun-eral: 6f the Tuttle family doctor and former school teacher of Ed. It had been six years since Mr. Tuttle had been back to the old home town and to say they enjoyed the visit Is putting putt-ing it mildly. The First year sewing girls of the American Fork 4-H Club held an achievement day program last Friday Fri-day evening at the home of Miss Alice Jacklin, the club leader. Pins were presented ito various members by Jarvis- Aydelotte of the Bank of American Fork. The Primary stake board members held their regular monthly business meeting Monday evening at the home of Mrs. Ixmella Greenwood. A full attendance of the twelve board members mem-bers was present. Following the various phases of business, a social was enjoyed, being griven in honor of Mrs. Elhcl Nicholes, who has resign, ed aa slake secretary, Mrs. LnBelle Ingersoll, Mrs. Alvlra, Devey and Jiiss Lois Greenwood, In-conilng board members.
