Show Democrats Win Election By Wide Margin M4Y0B ROY GREENWOOD AND ENTIRE COUNCIL AND OFFICERS OFFI-CERS RETURNED FOR TWO YEARS The will of the public was strongly asserted in the Tuesday election ,-hen they re-elected every present oity officer for another two years by oVer a hundred majority. With the exception of district number two the Democratic candidates were ahead in every instance. Republican candidate, ffilliani Chipman carried his district, 158 to his apponent's 13S and three other Republicans got a majority in this one district. However, the lead of the Democratic candidates in the other districts wiped out any chance they haU. The election failed to excite any great amount of interest and a small vote of less than 950 was the result. Both tickets were made up of strong, representative citizens but the "ins" seemed to have the talking points and mustered considerable strength. Thomas A. Barratt lead, the entire ticket with a total of 630 votes. W. S. Storrs came next with 585, and Mrs. Cunningham third with 571. William H. Preston lead the Re. publican ticket with 427 and William Chipman came seconVi with 406. The complete returns by district is given in the table below: Dist: Dist. Dist. Dist.
