Show Sextuplet Birth Delving among Chinese annals, Dr. Berthold Laufer, curator of anthropology anthro-pology at Field Museum of Natural History, Chicago, has found no record rec-ord of a quintuplet, birth in that country, but lias discovered records of two sextuplet births. In loT-J, according ac-cording to the Chinese historians, a woman in Kwang-p'ing fu, Chl-ll province, is said to have given birth to six children at once. In 1S05 a woman in a village of Kwei-chou province pro-vince was reported as bearing sis sons, and mother and children all lived. Records of Chi li province state also that in li2T n woman of Hokien gave birth to seven girls at the same Ume, but none of them survived. |
