Prices for quality chicks have been cut so that they now fluctuate between be-tween 9 and 12 cents, depending upon the hatchery and the time of purchase. Deserving poultrymen can obtain loans through the Poultry Finance Corporation of Utah, with application blanks available at the state association's local branches. A market analysis based on reports from New York indicates that the bottom has been reached In egg prices, and that while no decided change is expected for sometime prices may advance slightly by the middle of March. Though egg prices are normally lowest in the 6pring, this year they were forced to exceptionally low levels by a combination of depression, depres-sion, storage dumping and unusually heavy laying in the mid-west stimulated stim-ulated by mild weather in January and early February. Evidence that the downward plunge of prices has been stayed is found in the fact that prices on the under grades of eggs have advanced between be-tween one and two cents a dozen.
