Mrs. Jane Elsmore of Salt Lake, has been visiting the past ten days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Mar-tin Walker. Miss Lela Willett a nurse at the L. D. S. hospital spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. V. H. Willett. Albert Harris is seriously ill at his home with rheumatism. Dainty refreshments Elvm Downs, who has been employed em-ployed in California for the past winter, is visiting for ten days with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Downs. Mr. and Mrs. Martelle Keetch announce an-nounce the birth of a winsome baby girl at their home on tPriday, March 3rd. All concerned are doing nicely. High School boys are beginning to organize into groups for their spring athletic sports. In a few I more days the campus will be dry enough for practice work. Miss Maybelle Farr, operator of the LaBeaute Shoppe, gave a talk to the girls at the high school on Care of the Skin and Hair, Wednesday Wednes-day at 11 a. m. Mrs. Joseph H. Adams has been very seriously ill at her home the past week with a heart attack. On Saturday her family were all called to her bedside. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Banks entertained enter-tained the basketball boys of the Lincoln High School, their partners and coach at dinner last Friday night after the game with American Fork. Christensen, who has been confined to his home the last two weeks with an injured left foot, caus- I j ed by a horse falling on it, was seen ; on the street Tuesday. He was limping limp-ing but said he was feeling fine. Mrs. Harold S. Walker entertained &t dinner Sunday in honor of her! father's 78th birthday. Besides the ' guest of honor, J. L. Harvey, other. Hilton entertained at dinner Sunday evening in honor of her niece's birthday, the guest of honor being Miss Gwen West. Other friends of Miss West who were present pres-ent were Ruth Armitstead, Rena Nelson, B. Cobbley, Harold Keetch and Kenneth Gillman. A number of Windsor ward rela-! tives attended a shower at Lehi Wednesday, March 1, and a wedding reception Thursday, March 2, in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Roosevelt! Smith, given by Mrs. Smith and Mr. ' and Mrs. George H. Shoell, parents of the bride and groom. Mrs. C. P. Warnick accompanied Mr. and Mrs. F. G. Warnick of Provo Pro-vo to Hinckley where they attended a 1 family dinner in honor of the 90th I birthday of her sister-in-law, Mrs. Christena B. Warnick. While there ! she also visited Miss Gertrude Gour-: i ley, who is teaching in the Hinckley ! high school. The Second ward M. I. A. present- jed the one-act play "Peggy Tues-' day evening as the preliminary pro- j gram. Mrs. May Grua was - in charge. The cast included Nellie Blackwell, Gwenevere Farr, Ray Dev- leraux, Margaret Whittingham, Harold Har-old Clark, Eva Marie Conway and Tommy Grua. . . I The officers and teachers of , the! Primary Association of the Lindon! ward entertained at a surprise party at the home of Mrs. Elroy Gillman in honor of Mrs. Bulah Gillman who is retiring as president of the association. associ-ation. The evening was spent in games and social chat. A token of appreciation for past labors was presented pre-sented to Mrs. Gillman. Picnic refreshments re-freshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas West entertained enter-tained at a family dinner Thursday evening in honor of the marriage of their daughter Alva and Jack Hardy at the Salt Lake temple Thursday. The guests included the close relatives rela-tives of the bride and groom. The Elders Quorum of the Third ward will hold a married folks dance j Friday evening in the Third ward amusement hall. Funds are to aid in missionary cause. Jesse Walker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Walker, has recently returned return-ed from a mission to the Northern States. He will be the principal speaker at the Lindon ward next Sunday evening. A home coming program is planned in his honor. Mrs. Ethel Drysdale entertained Monday evening at a bridge luncheon. lunch-eon. Daffodils and spring flowers flow-ers were used attractively in the table decorations.' Mrs. Walton won the best prize, Mrs. Mabel Adamson the consolation prize. Mrs. Viola Beers came home Monday Mon-day from the American Fork hospital, hospi-tal, where she has been since Jan. 1st. She is looking fine and doctors think she is doing remarkably well, considering her type of accident. George Peterson arrived home Monday Mon-day from the American Fork hospital. hospi-tal. He is 6till in bed but doing as well as can be expected, also. Both were members of the train-auto collision col-lision in American Fork New Year's Eve. Mrs. Thelma Freeman, Mrs. Ruby Nielson and Miss Helen Freeman gave a shower Wednesday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas West in honor of Miss Alva West, who was married Thursday evening in the Salt Lake temple to Jack Hardy of Lehi. The evening was spent in miscellaneous games and social chat. Refreshments were served serv-ed to the following guests: Mrs. J. H.
