Harding, who has been working work-ing as druggist in the Thornton Drug No. 2, has resigned his position and left for Provo where he expects to make his home. Mrs. M. L. Balrd entertained Monday Mon-day in honor of the 8th birthcray of her son, Stephen. There were eighteen eigh-teen boys present and a rousing good time was had by all. Mr. and Mrs. Everett Devey of Hollywood, California, visited last week at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Devey, of this city. Those of American Fork who were in attendance at the funeral of Ar-thus Ar-thus C. Doane of Pleasant Grove last Friday were: Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Adamson, a brother-in-law of the deceased, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse M. Walker, Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Halli-day, Halli-day, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Adamson and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Walton. The Lawata club met at the home of Mrs. V. F. Houston last Friday. Easter decorations of daffodills were carried out throughout. Bridge was played, the club prize going to Mrs. Howard Nicholes and the guest prize to Mrs. Lee Halstrom. Special guests were Mrs. Lee Halstrom, Mrs. Leo Meredith, Mrs. James Chadwick, Mrs. Kenneth Noyes, Mrs. Agnes Firmage, Mrs. Ralph Ellison, Mrs. LaMoin Despain, Mrs. Alton Storrs and Mrs. Elijah Chipman. Mr. and Mrs. Morris Davies and family visited Sunday at the home of Mrs. Davies' parents, Mr. and I Mrs. Abe Gudmundsen. Mr. Davies! has recently been appointed man-! ager of the J. C. Penney store in j Springville, and has moved his family there from Provo. ( |
