Show F. F. A. Youth Off To Kansas City Garth Myers, son of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Myers, has been honored by being appointed a member of the state F. F. A. band which will play at the National convention of the F. F. A. at Kansas City. This comes as a signal honor to the local youth inasmuch as the Utah band has been selected as the only one to play at the convention. The band, whose conductor is Professor N. Christensen Christen-sen of the U. A. C, comprises 100 pieces. Garth went to Salt Lake Thursday Thurs-day to receive his band uniform and to practice with the state band. Today To-day he leaves for Kansas City by train. The band returns to Salt Lake Saturday, October 23rd, where a short concert will be given that morning at 9:00 a. m. in the L. D. S. tabernacle for the U. E. A. conventions. con-ventions. Saturday afternoon a second concert will be given at the U Stadium during a football game between Utah and the U. A. C. |
