Mjss Edith Thornton, who is employed em-ployed at the Bank of American Fork, left this morning for California to enjoy a two weeks vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Makin were visiting in Salt Lake City Sunday with their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Irvin H. Makin, Jr. The latter has been very ill but is improving improv-ing nicely at the present writing. Honoring the 74th birthday anniversary anni-versary of Mrs. Melissa Boley, Mrs Vern Boley and Mrs. Roy Greenwood were joint hostesses at a dinner party par-ty given at the home of the former on Saturday. The Relief Society Stake Board held their regular monthly meeting Monday evening at the home of President Pres-ident Maude Christensen. In connection con-nection with the general business, they discussed the feasibility of holding hold-ing a ward teachers' convention. It was finally decided that they would t hold ward teachers' convention throughout the stake in each respective respec-tive ward on the first Tuesday in February. Taylor were cialled to Nephi early Tuesday morning morn-ing on account of the illness of Mrs. Taylor's sister, Mrs. Karl R. Taylor. Mrs. Taylor was taken to the Aird Hospital in Provo that afternoon to receive medical attention. According Accord-ing to last reports, she is doing as well as can be expected.
