Rich County Agricultural Agent Did you know that records had been kept in all twenty stations for thirty-four years on annual precipitation preci-pitation in Utah county. The average aver-age inches precipitation since 1900 is 11.94 inches. LlTc of the area of the state has more than twenty inches of rainfall. 13CC has from 15 to 20 inches of rainfall. Twenty-eight Twenty-eight percent of the state has from 10 to 15 inches of rainfall. Forty-six Forty-six per cent of the state has 5 to 10 inches rainfall and six percent has under 5 inches of rainfall. The average precipitation at Thistle This-tle over the 34 year period was 17.22 inches. At Alpine it was 16.60 inches. In Elberta 10.73 inches. At Provo it was 14.94 inches. Farmers will notice there is quite a variation in rainfall in our own county and should carefully plan their agricultural crops accordingly. Next week we will speak about frost. |
