Show Committees Plan Strawberry Day Plans for the 1939 Strawberry day, which has been tentatively set for June 7, were discussed by Chamber of Commerce committees on the festival Wednesday night. A celebration bigger and better than those of past years, which have made Pleasant Grove famous over the state as the "Strawberry City", is the aim of the committee. Fred Shoell, Chamber of Commerce president, is general chairman. Sports for the festival were turned over to Ray S. Merrill ana Laura Banner, city recreation supervisors, by action of the committee Wednesday Wednes-day night. Other committeemen, appointed previously, are as follows: Karl Banks, advertising, H. E Bradley, decorations; H. S. Richards, concessions; Erwin Jensen, amuse- , mcnts; Blaine Swenson, serving of berries; Merrill N. Warnick, Harvey Smith and one member from each ward, parade committee. |
