' After graduation she plans to I attendSnow College where she has ! received an academic scholarship. 1 Joseph is the only child of Jerry and Elon Taylor. He has lived in , pleasant Grove all of his life. He likes to go fishin g an d collect coins and baseball cards. His favorite subjects in school arechemistry, physics and geology. An honor student, Joseph is in the top five per cent of American High School Students. Maine has enjoyed her attendance atten-dance at PGHS. She has been very involved in the drill team and was recently elected as the Drill Mistress Mis-tress for 1989-90. Though dancing is a very important impor-tant part of Alaine's activities, she )is also very involved in her school 1 work, maintaining a high grade point average and being involved in Orchesis. Alaine has always maintained , high standards and a desire to do well at whatever she decides to do. She has served as a volunteer ; Candy Striper at American Fork Hospital. She plans to attend college at B YU or UVCC where she will major in a business related subject and minor in dance. All who are acquainted with Alaine enjoy her sweet personality and pleasant disposition. She places high value in her friendships and acquaintances. Jason is the son of Ken and Vea Lynn Jarvis. He has lived in Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove all but two months of his life. Ja son is a hard worker and is seldom without something to do. He loves hunting, fishing, snow and water skiing and most other sports and art. He has trophies from Little League Baseball and Jr. Jazz Basketball. Bas-ketball. He has won several art and industrial art awards including second place in the Utah Valley Realtors poster contest and Best Woodworking student at American Fork Junior High. He is an Academic All-American and won an A. G. Bell Grant for general scholarship. He was a Provo Kiwanis Young Man of the Year in 1988. Jason has worked two summers for Alpine School District and has been a counselor at Camp Liahona for Deaf Children. He is an Eagle Scout with two palms and recieved his Duty To God Award. Jason had the lead role of Charles Char-les in "My Turn on Earth" at Promised Prom-ised Valley Playhouse in March. His plans for the future are to get another job, finish high school and go on an LDS Mission. He hopes to be one of the first deaf missionaries to a foreign country. He wants to be a general contractor, con-tractor, an architect or an artist or a seminary teacher. Jason would like to be in the Deaf Olympics in snow skiing or basketball or both. Julie is the daughter of Robert and Helen Balderrama. She has four older brot hers and a twin sister. sis-ter. Julie was born in San Jose, Calif. She lived there until three years ago when her family moved to Lin-don. Lin-don. She enjoys sewing, listening to rock music, and going to concerts. She also enjoys going on trips and to meetings with the FHA. Her favorite subjects in school are math and Spanish. Julie hopes to go to college in California and work towards a career as an executive secretary. Rick is the son of Gary and Linda Wood. He has two older sisters. He has always been a good student stu-dent and carries a 3.96 gpa. He especially enjoys accounting and chemistry and being a manager man-ager for the wrestling team. Rick likes sports, reading, camping and listening to music. He plans on graduating from high school with four AP classes and going on to college and a mission. |
