Show obituaries J Ilene P. Beck I i '",' - :. Ilene Prince Beck, 86, of Pleasant Grove, died Tuesday, July 6, 1988 at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center of congenital heart failure. She was born April 28, 1902 in panguitch to James and Effie Pearl Dalton Prince. She married Earl A. Beck Dec. 20, 1922 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Nov. 1, 1986. She was a member of the LDS Church, holding many leadership leader-ship positions in all auxiliaries. She was a visiting teacher for many years. She graduated from the Duchesne County High School and took many classes offered by Geneva Steel at BYU. She worked for many I She is survived by one son and three daughters: Earl A. Beck, Littleton, Colo.: Mrs. Frederick R. (Ruth) Shoell, Pleasant Grove; Mrs. P. Richard (Pearl) Heilbut. Fresno, Calif.; Mrs. Richard L. (Gwen) Rowley, Salt Lake City; 20 grandchildren and 53 great grandchildren; one brother, A. Kay Prince, Spanish Fork; two sisters, Mrs. Genta P. Borg, Salt Lake City; Mrs. nedra P. Sumner, Provo. She was preceded in death by four brothers. Funeral services were held Saturday, July 9, in the Pleasant Grove Stake Center. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. years in secretarial positions with different businesses locally. She was a charter member of the Geneva Federal Credit Union and the Geneva Recreation Association. Wayne C. Masterson Wayne C. "Bat' Masterson, 52, diec Sunday, July 3, 1988 ir Provo. He was born Feb. 4, 1936 in Kanab, a son ol Rollan A. and Mabel Cram Masterson. He married Berdean Hall and they were later divorced. He married Sandra Offret July 18, 1966 in Evanston, Wyo. He received his education in the Kanab City schools. He entered the U.S. Air Force and served two and one-half years in England. Following his release from the military service, he attended Utah State University in Logan for one year. He worked for the U.S. Forest Service in the Kiabb Forest. He had ' also worked for the I Utah Department of i Transportation for the past 27 years. He and , his family were also : involved in a cafe I business. He was a member of I the LDS Church, Orem 35th Ward. He was also 1 a member of the Eagles Club in Midway. He is survived by his . wife of Orem ; four sons and one daughter: Mark Masterson and Raymond Masterson, both Cedar City; Lance Masterson and Ty Masterson, both Orem; Teresa Masterson, Provo ; one step-son and one step-daughter: Jeffrey Campbell, Santa Monica, Calif. ; Jennie Campbell, Provo; seven grand- i children; nis lamer, Orem; five brothers and three sisters: Charles "Foster" i Masterson, Orem; Rollan Phill Masterson, Lindon; Fred T. Masterson, Yuma, Ariz. ; Royce Master-son, Master-son, Mrs. Roma Jan-ssen Jan-ssen and Mrs. Gary (Pamela) Hubbard, all Spanish Fork; Stephen C. Masterson and Mrs. Todd (Mary Etta) Andreasen, both Springville. Funeral services were held Friday, July 8, in the Orem 35th Ward Chapel. Burial was in the American Fork City Cemetery. Full military rites were accorded by the VFW District No. 4. Elizabeth N. Alt Our beloved Elizabeth Eliza-beth Newman Alt passed away on July 10, 1988 in Salt Lake City of causes incident to diabetes. She was born Sept. 1, 1927 to Brank Byrd and Edna Holdaway Newman in Pleasant Grove, Utah. She married mar-ried Raymond Alt, Sr. in Farmington, Utah on May 10, 1951. She was a joy to know and loved by all. Survivors include her husband: a son, Raymond Alt, Jr., Salt Lake City; a daughter, Patricia Standing, Salt Lake City; three precious pre-cious grandchildren: Bryan, Andrea and Erica Standing, Salt Lake City; three brothers: broth-ers: Frank B. Newman, Jr., Bountiful; Robert J. Newman, Pleasant Grove; and David W, Newman, Prescott, Ariz. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Wednes-day, July 13, at 1 1 a.m. in the Cannon Fifth Ward Chapel, 1250 W. 1400 So., Salt Lake City. Internment will be in the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. |
