Jacobs said he is making plans for a meeting later this month on the Traverse Ridge Development. Another luncheon meeting is scheduled for May 21 with the American Fork Chamber where Keith Moon of the Small Business Administration will be in at-tendance. The Chamber is proceeding with plans to firm up the goals and intent of the organization. A mission statement is being formulated and should be completed before the end of the year. One of the things the Chamber would like to be is a clearing house for some of the local organizations and city groups. The Chamber gets many requests from people in other states about the area. If one group could be responsible to disseminate information of upcoming events, the . business climate, and so forth it would be very helpful. The Strawberry Days Association has assigned Lyle Clement to serve on the Chamber Board of Directors to provide information about the annual city holiday. Russ Schow will serve on the board as a represen-tative of UVIDA. The Chamber has decided to only include members of the Chamber in their promotions. In years past have been permitted to participate in the promotions but this will no longer be the case. The membership drive is now underway and all those local businesses which have not joined the Chamber are invited to do so. The Chamber is trying hard to provide those services which will make it worthwhile to belong to this organization. If there are any questions about membership contact Mr. Jacobs or Randy Hoyt at Deseret Bank; Sue Ann Maxfield at Wasatch Bank; Marcella Walker at the Pleasant Grove Review; Jim DeGroot at V & S Variety; Craig Smith or Dave Faux at Smith Drug. The Easter Promotion is now underway. A picture for children to color was printed in last week's Pleasant Grove Review. More copies of the picture are available at the Review office. The colored picture should be returned to one of the participating merchants. Prizes will be given. The contest is divided into age categories so that children, are competing only against those near their own age. First prize in each age group will be $50 in Chamber Bucks which can be spent at the participating businesses, second prize is $10 in Chamber Bucks and third prize is $10 in Chamber Bucks. The entry deadline is Saturday, Apr. 11. Winners will be notified on Monday, Apr. 13. There is only one entry allowed per child. The age categories are 4 to 6, 7 to 9, and 10 to 12. Every eligible child is encouraged to enter the coloring contest. 1 v i l f i J WOVEN LINEN LOOK HAWAIIAN PRINTS Poly Rayon - Full bolts Marcus Brothers - Full bolts Suggested retail to $6.98 yd.
