Funeral Mass was held last Saturday at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 7405 South 1700 West. Holy Rosary was recited in the Goff Mortuary Chapel, 8090 South State. Burial was in the Sunset Gardens of the Valley. ... LEHI- - Jouquin "Tio" Mardaras, age 77, died April 28, in Lake City. He was born August 21, 1904 in Bilbao, Spain, son of Lorenzo and Isabell Echevarria Mardaras. He was a retired track forman for Kennecott Copper Corp. and a member of the Catholic Church. Family of John Isaac Evans AMERICAN Rees ied April 30 1982 at a local hospital due to complications following heart surgery. He was born Nov. 26, in Wales, San Pete Uty. Utah, to Alfred j and Sarah Jane P Edmunds Rees. He 1 married Dora Keyser in Salt Lake City on July 10 1933. The marriage solemnized m Was later the MantiLDS Temple. He attended schools in Wales and Moroni. He flU graduated from high school at snow Academy " Utah. He at Ephraim, attended BYU and graduated from the University of Utah with I a bachelor's degree in il 1932. He began his teach ing career in North Sanpete, later moving to Nebo School District and then to Alpine School District where he taught 23 years at pleasant Grove Junior High School. He retired ;ti from teaching in 1965 and immediately became director supervisor of the Foster Grandparent Program at the Utah State Training School where he served for 13 years, retiring in 1978. He was a High Priest in the American Fork Seventh Ward and he had held many Church positions and assign-- , ments. He filled a mission to Arizona as a young man, was a stake mission president, stake Sunday School superintendent and Sunday School teacher for many years. He was first counselor in the bishopric of the Pleasant Grove Third Ward and served in the High Priest presidency in both Pleasant Grove and American Fork Wards where he lived. He was secretary in the High Priest group in American Fork and served as a temple worker in , the Provo Temple. .f " Survivors include his wife: three daughters, one son: Mrs. Lloyd (Yvonne) Hossner, College Station, Tex.; Mrs. Vaughn (Darlene) Myers, Orem; Mrs. Brent (Jolene) Bowman, Pleasant Grove; Howard K. Rees, Auburn, Calif.; 16 grandchildren; two THEODORE REES brothers: Leslie E. Rees, Pleasant Grove; A.J. Rees, Jr., American Fork; three sisters: Mrs. E.J. (Verda) Bohne, Mrs. Reta Morris, San Jose, Calif.; Mrs. Ellis (Leila) Crosby, Los Gatos, Calif. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Mon., May 3, 1982, in the American Fork West Stake Center. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Bishop James M. Bowman of the American Fork Seventh Ward. Pallbearers were Lloyd Hossner, Vaughn, Blaker and Marshall Myers, Brent Bowman and Damon Rees. Honorary bearers were Lance and Shane Myers and Greg, Layne and Eric Hossner. Flowers were arranged and cared for by the Seventh Ward Relief Society. The family prayer was given by Howard Rees, the invocation was by Brent Bowman, the benediction by Blake Myers and dedication of the grave by Vauhn Myers. Remarks were given by Bishop Bowman, a life sketch by Ted's sister, Leila Crosby, talks by Ellis Crosby and by Emmitt Bohne. "" Musical 'number, "My Buddy,' was given by Jack and Leslie Rees, "The Impossible Dream" by Jeff Crosby accompanied by Leila Crosby, and "A Perfect Day" by Bill Petersen accompanied by Catherine Rees. The prelude and postlude were played by Catherine Rees.
